It does not require a liner or padding, just a clean level floor.
The bedroom floor is right at 400 square. I love the space but the projects with that size space always takes a bit more time. Or a lot more time!!! We purchased our flooring from a local vendor.
I have been wanting to cover my bedroom floor for quite a while now.
Yuck! This is where I started! In the closet, of course. Two-fold task. Clean the closet and lay new flooring. About 10 years ago we removed the vintage carpet and I painted the plywood to look like tile.
This faux (fake) tile look was painted about the same time as I painted the the LAUNDRY ROOM FLOOR.
Installing the click lock vinyl floor requires very few tools
And here is what you will need:
Razor Knife, Blades, Knee Pads,Tape Measure, Large Brush or Whisk Broom,
Carpenter’s Square, Sharpie, Hammer, and a Pry (Nail) Bar
The installation of this floor was almost (almost) a no sweat project.
I needed something that I could do myself. As you can see, Kitty No offered to help. Joe was very weak during this time and mostly just offered me encouragement. And I did not want to clear the room to install it. I moved all the furniture to one end of the room and worked toward that space. When that area was completed I moved the furniture to the finished area and then completed the installation. Actually, I had used a similar product in our den 2 years ago so I knew I could do this installation.
This click lock vinyl flooring gives a natural wood look
This flooring worked well over the plywood floor in our bedroom and was a very close match for the hardwood floor in our hall.
Click lock vinyl flooring is very easy to clean.
I love that this flooring is easy to clean with mild soap and water. I actually use 2 tablespoons of Dawn Dishwashing Liquid and 1 cup of white vinegar in 2 gallons of hot water.
Click lock vinyl flooring suitable for areas with exposure to large amounts of water or moisture.
I will also be using this on the floor in the master bathroom. That is a work in progress and hopefully it will be finished in a couple of weeks.
While I was installing the flooring I thought it might be helpful to make a video, mistakes and all! We can learn from our mistakes, can’t we.
I hope that my video helps you with your flooring project.
Don’t work too hard!!! I would love to hear from you and see you new floor!
