Hi! I am Nathalie!

Welcome to my Jesus-lovin’, art-filled, junk hunting world that I call “MY HALL CLOSET”. I am so glad you are here. Come on in to my little corner of the internet. It is my hope that while you are here you will find some inspiration, a few creative ideas, and a lot of encouragement.
Recently, I had an epiphany that I would like to share. Like many others in the blogging community, I have tried to focus on the “one thing”. That one thing that I love to do, that one thing that I am good at, etc. It was so frustrating because I love making art, teaching art, sewing, teaching sewing, recovering old chairs, teaching how to recover old chairs. Do you see the one thing that the things I love to do have in common? TEACH!!! I love to teach and share my ideas and skills with others. It blesses my heart when I am able to share my skills with you.
As long as I can remember, I have been creative. I was born in the 50’s and was a teenager in the 60’s. Being a former flower child, tie dye and fringe make my heart do a little flutter, but I don’t live there (in the past) and I don’t want to go back there. However, I do love vintage treasures from that era. That’s where the junk hunting comes in.
MY HALL CLOSET is a real place in my home. I bet you have one, too. And if you don’t have one, I bet you wished that you did have that place to stack your “stuff” out of sight. Mine is jammed packed with old quilts, decorative items, a lamp shade or two, candles that I have no intention of ever using (except during a power outage, and lots of other STUFF, LOTS OF STUFF!!! There are ideas for projects just waiting to be finished.
When I started my first blog in 2008, I used I.C.E. as my purpose acronym.
My desire is that while you are here, you will find:
Inspiration: in your faith, to be creative, to dream big, to be an inspiration to others.
Creativity: paint, sew, bake, DIY, decorate, dance, sing, the list is endless.
Encouragement: that you can do this thing called life, that you can to be all that God created you to be, and you can do all that He has for you to do.
Ephesians 2: 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
I am excited for you to join in on this journey! Let’s do this!
Nathalie
